Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) is offering financial assistance for summer camp to financially eligible GSSEM Girl Scouts. Camp sessions can be reserved for just $50.00, with the remaining camp fee covered by a generous grant from the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential.
This special offer is available for any registered GSSEM Girl Scout who qualifies for financial assistance. GSSEM's Financial Assistance Application for Summer Camp, along with the required documentation, must be submitted to GSSEM for approval.
Financial assistance covers the advertised camp fee after the $50.00 deposit. All activities and meals are included in the camp fee. Campers' caregivers are responsible for all camping necessities (bedding, personal care items, etc.) View page 18 of the GSSEM Camp Guide for a packing list of necessities.
Girl Scouts who are entering grades 2–12 in the fall of 2026 can participate in summer camp. Choose any open summer camp session, including Counselor-in-Training (CIT) programs. Sold-out camp sessions are indicated as such. To see camp session descriptions, visit www.gssem.org/summercamp.
Summer camp is held at GSSEM's beautiful Camp Hawthorn Hollow (CHH), located in Columbus Twp, MI. CHH features a swimming pool, music garden, high-adventure low and high ropes courses, a slingshot range, and more! Transportation to and from CHH is not included.
