For over 100 years, Girl Scouts has been an inclusive, all-girl organization promoting respect for girls.

Girls of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome as long as they agree to abide by the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Girl Scouts works closely with the Catholic Church, both locally and nationally, to ensure that Girl Scouting continues to be a positive and beneficial experience for girls of the Catholic faith.

Protecting God's Children Workshops are required of all Catholic Diocesan staff and every Catholic volunteer who works with children on a one-time or regular basis.

GSSEM's Religious Relationships Committee (RRC) promotes the spiritual development and growth of Girl Scouts in our council.

Our committee is comprised of volunteers who strive to:

Support GSSEM in reaching out to the faith community, with correct information and Memorandums of Understanding.
Support adults who deliver faith-based programs to GSSEM girls.
Provide collaborative interfaith programming and education for girl members with community partners.

The RRC plans and presents activities like GSSEM's annual interfaith service and My Promise, My Faith event(s). To find out about these events, please visit the event list and search for "Faith."
