Overnight Camp FAQ

What's a mini camp?
A mini camp spans three days and two nights, Sunday–Tuesday. Campers in grades 1–3 are able to experience independence and enjoy the benefits of overnight camp without staying the entire length of a five-day summer camp.

May my camper be in the same cabin as their buddy?
Absolutely! While registering, you'll be able to enter the other camper's first and last name. We can only accommodate ONE buddy request; additional buddies won't be considered when we assign campers to cabins.

Please keep in mind that cabins are set up by grade level, so we can't guarantee different Girl Scout levels will be in the same cabin.

What will my camper be doing at camp?
Campers will have a schedule jam-packed full of fun—from creatively earning badges to jumping in the pool to laying in hammocks. Campers will also have the opportunity to help plan their day!

What should I expect at camp check-in and checkout?
Checking in and out of camp will be a drive-through process. Families must stay in their cars the entire time and only the camper(s) may exit the vehicles.

Will my camper be able to visit the Trading Post?
Yes! Campers will have the opportunity to visit our pop-up Trading Post! During check-in, families may designate how much their campers may spend; then, at checkout, families may complete the purchases and pick up the items.

What if my camper becomes homesick?
We're here to help! Our staff are highly trained to support campers who experience homesickness. We'll do our best to keep your camper calm and encourage them to stay at camp. Sending a camper home is our last resort, but it does happen.

If I have questions or registration issues, whom should I contact?
For program questions, please email Ally Miron, Camp Manager, at amiron@gssem.org.

For registration questions or support, please email helpdesk@gssem.org or call 800-482-6734, ext 3.
