Is your Daisy ready to splash and safely swim into summer? On Friday, May 29th, Daisies are invited to learn about swim safety and enjoy an evening of swimming at Goldfish Swim School in West Bloomfield.
During this event, participants will learn about Swim Safety from
the Goldfish Swim School team and then Girl Scouts will have 1 hour of
open swim!
There will be certified lifeguards on duty
during the open swim, but there will NOT be instructors in the water
for structured instruction during that time. Each participant
(swimmer) will need to complete a swim test that consists of
participants swimming across the short length of the pool and back
(approximately 36 feet total), followed by about 30 seconds of
treading water. If a participant does not pass the swim test, they
will need to wear a life jacket.

Note: guardians will NOT be swimming
at this event
PLEASE note that this is NOT a drop-off
event and proper Girl Scout to Adult safety ratios MUST be met in
order to participate in the event. Each Girl Scout must have one
guardian at the event!
Waiver needs to be completed for
every Girl Scout registered (waiver will be sent out via email closer
to the event date).
