Are you curious about the natural world around you? Maybe exploring career pathway options? Then join your Outdoor Education Team and the Michigan Nature Association for a day as a "botanist" and learn how you can be an eco-steward!

What does a career in environmental conservation look like? Join the Michigan Nature Association for our "Green Career Trek Patch Program" to explore how you can become a future conservation leader. Learn how scientists survey for different types of special and rare species, the importance of managing habitat for endangered plants and animals, and gain field skills to help you traverse Michigan's many different ecosystems!

The patch program curriculum is designed to give participants an in-depth view to several different career paths within the Environmental Conservation field - from bee scientists, to endangered orchid scientists, to rattlesnake scientists - there is bound to be a specialty that sparks individual curiosity!

Root Out Garlic Mustard:
A part of the regular care and keeping of natural areas is watching out for and removing invasive species! In Michigan, garlic mustard is a plant that emerges in spring and can out compete our native spring ephemerals and wildflowers, like trillium. Join the Michigan Nature Association for a day of stewardship at Alice Moore Woods in the heart of St. Clair to scout for, and remove garlic mustard.
