Do you know what plants are involved in making your favorite food:
pizza? If so, have you ever tested out your green thumb to grow the
ingredients at home? If you answered no to either of these questions,
then you don't want to miss this event!
During this
event, participants will go on a nature hike through the gardens at
Dinosaur Hill Nature Preserve to learn all about the fascinating world
of backyard gardening! We will learn what "pizza topping"
plants need to survive and thrive in Michigan. Participants will enjoy
a pizza snack after creating their own mini "pizza garden"
to take home with them.
