One of your favorite events is back in 2026! Come join the Naturalist
staff at Belle Isle Nature Center for an Earth Day Celebration. We
will become community scientists for the afternoon and rotate through
different environmental education stations!
Participants
will think like community scientists for the afternoon to learn about
and take part in the "Adopt a Beach Alliance" program.
Participants will learn all about "upcycling" by
decreasing household/daily waste output, how to reuse single use
plastics, and how to make eco-friendly products at home.
Participants will go on a "Tree Hike" to learn how to
identify the different tree and plant species that are found on Belle
Isle - each tree tells a different story - we will find out what
stories they tell us and what we can learn from them.
**Participants are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch to
bring to this event**
