Daisies, Brownies and Juniors - join your Outdoor Education team for
a morning of winter survival prep: shelter building, fire building,
knot tying and hiking. This event is a precursor to the Freeze-In
event for CSAs.
Join GSSEM Staff and Oakwoods Nature
Center Educators for a morning packed with hands on lessons designed
to teach survival skills.. in a winter setting. We will learn how to
build different types of shelters and what resources are available to
do so. We will learn knot tying and what knots you would use to build
your shelter of choice. We will learn how to build a fire and the
different techniques for different settings. Lastly, we will go on a
short hike!
