Michigan Women's Commission and Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan are partnering to have a fun-filled field trip to the Michigan State Capitol Building in Lansing on June 16th!

Girl Scouts will visit Lansing, the capital of Michigan, for a day of government enrichment. Girl Scouts will take a guided tour of the Capitol to learn its rich history and the house and senate floor, where laws are introduced and voted on. Next, the Girl Scouts will be visited by women legislators who will share a day in their life and answer any questions the Girl Scouts may have. Lastly, Girl Scouts will have a mini-mentor lunch with lobbyist and women business owners.

Cost:
$10.00 per girl scout (reserving space on the GSSEM van, patch included, lunch included).
$5.00 per girl scout (with personal transportation, patch included, lunch included).
$5.00 per adult (with personal transportation, patch included, lunch included).

Pick-Up Policy: Please be prompt in picking up your Girl Scout from events. If you are going to be late, you must contact your event organizer to notify them of the late pickup. After 15 minutes, if no one has called the event organizer, activity staff will call guardian and if needed, emergency contact. Girl Scouts left after 1 hour past the end of activity, without notification, will be released to the authorities or child protective services.

Registration deadline: May 28 (or sooner if event reaches capacity)
