Meet your Outdoor Experience team to talk about Overnight Summer
Camp, Troop Camping, and Outdoor Education events!
Is
your Girl Scout interested in Overnight Summer Camp, but maybe you're
both unsure what all it entails? Meet your Outdoor Experience Team to
discuss any questions and concerns you and your Girl Scout may have
and learn what a day in the life of a camper looks like! We'll share
information about what training our staff receive, what sort of
activities campers participate in and how each week's theme plays a
part, summer camp best practices for campers and parents, and more.
We're here to help you and your Girl Scout get comfortable with
Overnight Summer Camp and make this a summer for her to
remember!
Not quite ready for Overnight Summer Camp?
That's completely okay! Your Outdoor Experience Team focuses heavily
on the Girl Scout Outdoor Progression model and Challenge by Choice.
We'll have resources on Troop Camping at both Camp Playfair and Camp
Hawthorn Hollow, as well as upcoming Outdoor Education events, for you
to take back to your troops and get more involved in the outdoors!
