Ready to take your STEM skills to the next level? Spend an action packed and FREE day in a real robotics workshop environment where you'll plan, build, and program a LEGO robot to complete a series of progressively harder missions (think: move, navigate, detect, and deliver). You'll practice the same process real engineering teams use-designing, testing, fixing, and improving-then wrap up by connecting with women studying and working in engineering, technology, automation, and robotics.

Join us for a hands on robotics experience for Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts, co-hosted by the Automotive Women's Alliance and Macomb Automation and Robotics. A lead instructor will walk you step by step through core robotics concepts (building mechanisms, using sensors, and creating simple programs) while a team of women volunteers from STEM careers (plus college students currently studying in the field) coaches your group, answers questions, and shares what it's really like to work in robotics and engineering.

You'll leave with practical skills, career insight, and a robot you can be proud of.

Throughout the day, each participant will:
* Build and program a LEGO robot from the ground up using guided, hands on challenges (no prior robotics experience required)
* Learn how mechanisms and motion work-gears, wheels, and attachments-then test what changes improve speed, strength, and control
* Use sensors and simple coding to make your robot respond and complete missions (for example: follow a line, avoid obstacles, stop at a target, or move an object)
* Talk with women in STEM from Ford, GM, and other organizations, plus local college students-ask about high school classes to take, college majors, internships, scholarships, and what a day in the job actually looks like
* Explore scholarship and pathway opportunities, enjoy snacks and lunch, and take home your Senior or Ambassador badge plus a goodie bag

Included in Girl Registration: Guided activities to complete all requirements for the Designing Robots badge, a lunch, snacks, and a swag bag at the end of the event.
