Troop Camping at Camp Playfair is a great way for your troop to come
and spend a weekend camping in the great outdoors! Camp Playfair is a
13-acre property in Lexington, Michigan. Shoreline beach access is now
available, but swimming currently is not. However, if your troop would
like to go swimming, CPF is located 8 minutes from Lexington Beach in
Lexington, and 20 minutes from Lakeport State Park in Fort Gratiot
Twp.
This is an opportunity for your troop to plan
outdoor activities, meals, and anything else camp related while at
Camp Playfair. Feel free to use all our free program areas while
staying at camp during the weekend!
Troops are
responsible for providing their own meals and programing throughout
the weekend. Troops must also meet the proper Adult Volunteer to
Girl Scout Ratio as well as have a Troop First Aider.
You may rent programs in a backpack for an additional
$10/per backpack if desired for your troop. We offer fire building,
letterboxing, animal tracking, plant identification, and knot tying!
