Calling all Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors! Join your camp team at Camp Hawthorn Hollow to learn how to be a safe and responsible pocket knife owner!

Participants will learn the four levels of knife safety.

Level 1: Introduction to knife safety
Girls will learn the basics with a cardboard/paper knife; opening, closing, passing, and maintaining a circle of safety.

Level 2: Knife safety real life practice
Girls will practice the basics with a real pocket knife; opening, closing, passing, maintaining a circle of safety, and whittling a bar of soap.

Level 3: Caring for your pocket knife
Girls will learn how to safely clean, maintain, and store their pocket knife.

Level 4: Demonstrate your skills and take the pocket knife pledge
Girls will display all that they've learned and take the knife safety pledge.

Included in Girl Registration Cost:
* 2 hours of hands on learning
* Pocket knife to take home
* Pocket knife safety handbook to take home
* GSSEM Outdoor Skills Mini Patch Program - Knife Safety
* Event fun patch

Included in Adult Registration:
* 2 hours of hands on learning

$25.00 per Girl
$25.00 per Tagalong (Register as girl non-member)
$0.00 per Adult

PLEASE note that this is NOT a drop-off event and proper Girl Scout to Adult safety ratios MUST be met in order to participate in the event.
