Your favorite fishing event is back for the 2025 summer season! Come join your Outdoor Education team at Holly State Recreation Area to learn how to fish! Each Girl Scout will walk away with their own fishing pole and tackle box.

Participants will be guided by two angling experts and GSSEM Staff on the proper techniques for successful and safe shoreline/dock fishing skills, safe and ethical fish handling practices and some basic Great Lakes fish identification skills! Participants will get a full two hours to fish and they will walk away from the event with their very own fishing pole and tackle boxes (kids only).

 PLEASE note that this is NOT a drop-off event and proper Girl Scout to Adult safety ratios MUST be met in order to participate in the event.
