Phenology. Pheno- what? It is the observation and measurement of events over time. Girl Scouts will become community scientists as they dive deeper into Michigan's four seasons with this four-patch series. This session will focus on SUMMER!
During this program participants will look at the unique characteristics of wildlife in the park and how they survive. Discover how predator and prey coexist and just how complex food webs are. Participants will explore the world of insects, their life cycles and the incredible journeys of some of our smallest migrators. Hands-on activities include "bug sweeping" with nets, viewing wildlife through binoculars and microscopes, creating a "toad abode," and a guided hike.
