Phenology. Pheno- what? It is the observation and measurement of events over time. Girl Scouts will become community scientists as they dive deeper into Michigan's four seasons with this four-patch series. This session will focus on FALL!
Fall in Michigan is full of things to see, smell and explore. Animals are preparing for winter, birds are migrating, and the leaves are changing. During this program, participants will search for fallen leaves, discuss the science of seasonal changes, and see how Michigan plants and animals adapt to our harshest season. Participants will take a guided hike, do hands-on activities, and make a pumpkin terrarium to take home!
