Hey Girl Scouts, have you earned your Girl Scouts Give Back Patch yet? Do you enjoy gardening & supporting native Michigan flora? This is the perfect event for you! Join the Land Steward at Seven Ponds Nature Center for an afternoon of gardening!
During this event, participants will learn how to help animals and plants by taking care of the land they enjoy exploring. Girl Scouts will learn what a non-indigenous, invasive species is, how they can affect an ecosystem, and why it's important to control them.
Girl Scouts will then head out on the trails around Seven Ponds to pull non-native and invasive plants to make room for a healthy, native ecosystem to thrive. Girl Scouts can make an impact and help protect the outdoors not only for their future explorations, but for the explorations of future Girl Scouts too!
