Have you heard of a Lake Sturgeon before? Did you know they are the
LARGEST fish species that call the Great Lakes home reaching up to
7.5' in length, up to 250lbs and can live to be nearly 150 years old?
No? Then you DO NOT want to miss this event!
Lake
Sturgeon have been roaming the waters of the Great Lakes all the way
back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth! They are an iconic species
within the Great Lakes and, with the help of several natural resource
organizations and community scientists, have managed to come back from
the brink of extinction for generation after generation to
appreciate!
During this event, participants will head out
on the St. Clair River under the expert eye and guidance of an amazing
local St. Clair River Lake Sturgeon Guide for an unforgettable
chartered fishing experience to see these historic fish up close and
personal! Participants will learn the different methods, preferred
gear set-ups, and top secret "Lake Sturgeon hot spots" along
the St. Clair River while learning about the conservation efforts in
place to protect this species.
The Charter Captain will
provide all necessary safety gear, fishing gear, and instruction to
make your participation in this event a success!
