Calling all horse enthusiasts! Come join your OE team and the interpreters at the Farm Center to learn about and meet draft horses.
Participants will learn how draft horses played a large role in early farming and how they are still being used today in this one-hour program at the farm! Delve into history before getting up close with the horses to experience grooming and harnessing before a live demonstration of ground work! We will go over driving basics, and Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to try their hand at driving a draft horse in this hands-on program!
