Are you interested in learning more about what college life is like? Girl Scouts are invited to join GSSEM at Michigan State University for a day exploring a college campus to learn what life is like as a student on August 14!
7th and 8th grade Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors are invited to get a taste of college life as they experience a mini college welcome day, explore campus, learn about selecting a major, and even eat lunch in the dining hall on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University.
Girl Scouts can either attend with an adult using personal transportation, or GSSEM staff can chaperone them for the day as they ride from the Detroit Service Center and back in the GSSEM van. Girl Scouts riding in the GSSEM van will meet at 8:00am at the Detroit Service Center. Parking Information and meeting location will be shared the week of the event.
Cost:
$10.00 per Girl Scout riding in the van from Detroit Service Center with GSSEM staff chaperoning (patches includes)
$5.00 per Girl Scout with personal transportation (patches included)
$0.00 per adult with personal transportation -responsible for own lunch cost
All participants -Including adults- MUST register for this event to participate.
Pick-Up Policy: Please be prompt in picking up your Girl Scout from events. If you are going to be late, you must contact your event organizer to notify them of the late pickup. After 15 minutes, if no one has called the event organizer, activity staff will call guardian and if needed, emergency contact. Girl Scouts left after 1 hour past the end of activity, without notification, will be released to the authorities or child protective services.
