Brownies and Juniors saddle up! Come join Starz Equestrian Center and MINDgarden to learn about horseback riding, horse care, and the benefits of therapeutic riding.

This interactive program introduces Girl Scouts to the world of horses while building confidence, responsibility, and a deeper appreciation for animal care. Girl Scouts will learn the basics of horseback riding, horse care, and the powerful benefits of therapeutic riding. Led by experienced staff, Girl Scouts will explore what it takes to care for these incredible animals and gain a better understanding of how horses can support physical and emotional well-being.

Waiver needs to be completed for every Girl Scout registered (waiver will be sent out via email closer to the event date from ndunbar@gssem.org)
 

Cost:

 $60.00 per girl scout
 $72.00 per tagalong (register as girl non member) (Must be grade level to attend event)
 $0.00 per adult

Included in Girl Registration Cost:
- Lunch
- ONLY Brownies will receive the Pet Care Badge
- ONLY Juniors will receive the Horseback Riding Badge
- A guided farm tour and animal introductions
- A horse safety lesson
- Brushing and grooming horses
- Painting a horse (a fun, creative experience!)
- Making and feeding horse treats
- Short horseback rides (time and volunteer support permitting)

*** Chaperone ONLY - Adults will not be riding ***

*PLEASE NOTE: This is not a drop-off event. Girls may come with their troop leader or guardian. Adults will not be able to participate in the program but may watch and take photos.

Please note: Closed toe-shoes are required for EVERYONE at the stable. Tennis shoes and boots are suggested. Long pants and clothing you do not mind getting dirty are suggested.
