Short-Term Volunteer Opportunities

Short-Term Volunteer Opportunities

No time for long-term volunteering commitments? No worries! There's a place for you!

Whether you have time for a one-time event, just a few hours a month, or much more time to share, we need adults of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to serve as positive role models to girls.

As a short-term volunteer, you can:

  • Create a one-day or recurring event/workshop focusing on a specific talent or skill that you have.
  • Become a mentor and or role model for girls.
  • Pitch in to help with an event.

Our staff will assist you in aligning your activities with the Girl Scout badge program, which focuses on Financial Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Entrepreneurship, Healthy Living, and more!

Everyone has something to offer, so choose a volunteer role that sparks your interest and fits you best!

About Badge Boss (BB)

Our Badge Boss program connects a few good women (and men) with troops to help them earn awesome Girl Scout badges!

Troops can request a Badge Boss workshop, and we'll take care of volunteer placement, scheduling, and securing the resources needed to facilitate the session.

A Badge Boss volunteer will then utilize their expertise to help girls complete requirements to earn Girl Scout badges.

Professional women, meet Girl Scouts: The Badge Boss program is the perfect place for you to help Girl Scouts earn badges!

As a Badge Boss volunteer, you'll utilize your expertise to help Girl Scouts learn and gain some skills and interest in the field you love so much.

Here's how it works:

  • You're the Boss—you design how you'll deliver the program content! You choose the badge, the session date and time, and whether you want to meet the girls online or in person.
  • We'll match your skills to a badge and find a troop.
  • For your meeting, we'll provide a description of the badge, the five steps required for earning it, and what the girls will know once they completed the steps.
