GSSEM's Sponsored Events

Sponsored Events

Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) hosts three annual, signature fundraising events.

At each event, GSSEM prominently recognizes the sponsors who've joined the Girl Scout Movement and—because of their support—have helped build the girl and women leaders of today and tomorrow.

By sponsoring an event as a corporation or individual, you're championing the leadership of girls and young women through GSSEM programming.

GSSEM's Sponsored Events

Every year, Cookie Gala is GSSEM's most exciting and highly anticipated fundraising event. In past years, it's drawn more than 500 attendees, who enjoyed a night of tasting and voting for their favorite Girl Scout Cookie-based desserts—which were created by some of Metro Detroit's best chefs and bakers.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cookie Gala 2021 will be virtual. Sponsorships will support GSSEM in presenting this unprecedented virtual experience and raising funds to provide more girls in southeastern Michigan with the amazing experiences only Girl Scouts can provide.

The annual Golf Classic "FORE!" the Girls golf outing raises funds to support GSSEM's Girl Empowerment Program (GEP) that provides Girl Scouting experiences to girls in communities where challenges to traditional troops exist.

In 2020, the event moved to The Orchards Golf Club in Washington, Michigan, which features an 18-hole championship course. The golf outing includes a shotgun start, a continental breakfast, and an awards presentation dinner.

The annual Tough Enough Breakfast event is held each fall to honor women and men whose careers and community service have designated them "Tough Enough to be Girl Scouts." Past honorees include Kimberly Gill, WDIV Local 4 Anchor, Amy Peterson, Co-Founder and CEO of Rebel Nell, and Rick Devore, Regional President for Detroit and Southeastern Michigan at PNC.

The Tough Enough Breakfast event raises funding to support GSSEM's Camp CEO program. Camp CEO matches participating Girl Scouts with professional women mentors for a weekend of networking, career exploration, and adventure.

Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.
