- Eligibility
Year of Yum! Cookies for a Year! (the "Promotion") is open to legal residents of the State of Michigan who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and other companies associated with this Promotion, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and advertising and promotion agencies, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee, are not eligible. The Promotion is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Participation in the Promotion constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
- Promotion Period
The Promotion begins on February 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM EST and ends on April 8, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST (the "Promotion Period"). The timekeeping device of the Promotion Sponsor is the official timekeeping device of the Promotion. Entries that are submitted before or after the Promotion Period will be disqualified. Submissions will be accepted for the duration of the Promotion via web form or mail-in card.
- Ways to Enter the Contest

Upon the purchase of five (5) boxes of cookies from participating Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan booths, eligible individuals will receive one card with an entry code that directs them to visit www.gssem.org/yum to enter the contest. - Mail-in Card
On a 3" x 5" index card, entrants must legibly print their full name, complete address, valid email address, and phone number with area code. Then, mail it in an envelope with proper postage affixed to:

This method of entry will be available for the entire Promotion Period. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by April 8, 2024, and received by April 15, 2024.
Limit one (1) entry per household per the duration of the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of method of entry. The Promotion Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected, or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified. All materials submitted become the property of the Promotion and will not be returned.

- Selection of Winners
By May 8, 2024, the Sponsor will select twelve (12) winners in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received. The Sponsor will attempt to notify the winners at the email address they provided on or before May 13, 2024.
If any potential winners do not reply within ten (10) days after the notification email was sent, the Sponsor will randomly select runners-up (i.e. alternate potential winners) from the remaining, non-winning, eligible entries. We will attempt to notify runners-up at the email addresses they provided on or before May 23, 2024.
Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsor may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from all remaining eligible entries.
Winners must comply with all instructions in the prize notification email, including completion and submission of the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release web form. Affidavit forms must be submitted within ten (10) days of the email notification date and must meet all of the eligibility requirements set forth within these rules—except where prohibited by law. If these requirements are not met, the prize will be forfeited.
- Prizes
Each randomly selected winner will receive a prize consisting of 52 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies (valued at $208.00). Winners will receive a predetermined assortment of cookie flavors, excluding S’mores, Toffee-tastic, and Lemon-Ups. Prizes will be awarded approximately four to eight weeks after the conclusion of the Promotion and each winner will receive a single delivery of 52 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.
- Release
By entering the Promotion and/or accepting receipt of a prize, entrants and/or winners agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, and its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, and agents, from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Promotion or the receipt or use of any prize. Each winner shall be solely responsible for any tax liabilities or other consequences related to the receipt of a prize.
- Publicity
Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion and acceptance of the prize constitutes the winner's consent to use of the winner's name and/or likeness in any advertising, promotions, and other publicity conducted by Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan, its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, and agents, without further authorization, compensation or remuneration of any kind.
- General Conditions
The Promotion Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the reasonable control of the Promotion Sponsor impairs the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of the Promotion or the ability of the Promotion Sponsor to provide the intended prize(s).
