Fall into Autumn at the 2018 International River Crossing!

As leaves abound from all around, we will celebrate a festival of Fall Fun at this year’s International River Crossing! Join THOUSANDS of sister Girl Scouts and Canadian Girl Guides in a day of international friendship along the banks of the St. Clair River.

There will be plenty to do including: S.W.A.P.S. (Share With A Pal), Free Being Me Patch Program (patch included), the Parade of Banners at 1 pm, Dance Party, Fall Crafts, and pumpkin decorating. Try out your catapulting skills, gets hands-on fun and experience in STEM activities, meet a Leader Dog in training, check out a robot, and learn all about the Five World Centers.

“Now in its 51st year, International River Crossing is on the move to Algonac and we are looking forward to another year of meeting new friends, SWAPPING and participating in lots of Fall Fun,” said Caroline Feathers, GSSEM Program Specialist.

Once you register, you will receive an email confirmation with details on parking. You are free to come and go as you like during the event hours! Once registered through GSSEM, crossing the border on the ferry to Canada is FREE, with the proper documentation. (Adults need a passport, or enhanced driver's license, children under 16 only need a birth certificate and permission slip). Wristbands for the ferry are available until 2 pm and the event on Walpole Island, Ontario runs from 10 am-3 pm.

Whether you cross the border or not, there is fun to be had on both sides of the border.

Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from our vendors. This family friendly event is open to girls of all program levels and their families, and is filled with power-packed programs.
All children must have adult supervision.

Refunds are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) before the registration deadline. Cancellations after the registration deadline are non-refundable and non-transferable. Full refunds will be issued if a council event or series is cancelled.
