Shelby Community Foundation invests in Girl Scouts!

Awardees Shelby Comm Foundation

The Shelby Community Foundation recently awarded GSSEM a $1,000.00 grant for girls in grades K-12 who are living in Shelby Twp.  The grant was awarded from the Women’s Fund of the Foundation and runs until next November.   The money will go towards giving girls in Shelby Township the opportunity to participate in leadership development experiences in Girl Scouts! Girls from GSSEM were there to accept the grant monies at a recent Shelby Township Council Meeting.

In the grant award letter, Shelby Community Foundation stated that its mission is to enrich and enhance the quality of life for residents in the Shelby Township area. Their decision to grant this award to GSSEM helps to further that mission. “We are truly grateful for the Shelby Community Foundation’s generosity,” said Jeffrey Baytarian, Director of Fund Relations at GSSEM. “This contribution will help to give more girls in Shelby Township opportunities to participate in life- changing Girl Scout programs, which they may not have had without the foundation’s support.”

Thank you for investing in girls!
