Become a Program Volunteer
Many girls don’t pursue leadership roles because of peer pressure, embarrassment, fear of public speaking, and other negative influences. They need mentors who encourage and help them to reach their potential and you CAN be that mentor!
As a Girl Scouts Program Volunteer you will:
- Be a mentor and role model for girls
- Build your professional network
- Increase your personal and professional skills
Help create great experiences for girls by:
HELPING with programming: Sign up to help with registration, manage event set up/tear down, assist girls in small groups, and more. Your time commitments would generally run between 3-6 hours.
CREATING a one-day event: Have a special skill or talent like photography, cooking, or budgeting? Share it with girls in a one-day event which you create. Our staff will help you align your activities with the Girl Scouts badge program. Program focuses include Financial Literacy, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Entrepreneurship and Healthy Living.
FACILITATING an eight-week Leadership Journey: GSSEM provides the curriculum and materials for you to easily facilitate a series for girls which meets once a week focused on community change, the environment, media and the arts, or bullying prevention.
