Join Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and FIRST of Michigan for an exciting adventure in developing innovative solutions to real-world problems! GSSEM FIRST teams form beginning in May and FIRST announces the teams’ challenge in August. Then teams work to engineer their unique solutions to the challenge throughout the summer and fall and present their work at the GSSEM FIRST Robotics Expo in early spring.

About GSSEM FIRST

GSSEM has partnered with FIRST of Michigan, an organization dedicated to advancing the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through students in Michigan. Focused on building an interest in science and engineering in children, FIRST teams are a hands-on program series designed to capture children’s curiosity and direct it toward discovering the possibilities of improving the world around them.
