The American Heart Association in Southeastern Michigan is working to inspire a new generation of young women who are strong in both mind and body. Together with the Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan we have developed this Girl Scout Patch initiative to encourage young girls to learn how they can prevent the future development of heart disease and stroke.
Please use the American Heart Association Patch Guidebook and complete the required activities. Troop Leaders or parents are to complete the “Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan Go Red for Women Patch Application and Troop Registration form” found in the guidebook and turn it into any of our GSSEM Council Shops to redeem your patch. Girls may work on these activities with their troop or on their own with adult supervision.
