Outdoor Cooking: Milling Flour and Stone Oven Cooking at Kensington Metropark
Learn the basics of baking bread like the pioneers!
Milling and baking was a vital part of pioneer life and homesteading. Participants in this hands-on program will learn and experience the entire process from growing wheat to baking bread. You'll grind grains and learn how to cook in a stone oven.
Registration is open to ages 12 and up.
Cost: $8 per person
Registration deadline: May 11 (or sooner if event reaches capacity).
Refunds for cancellations (minus a 25% cancellation fee) are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) no later than 15 days in advance of the event date. After this, no refunds of any amount will be issued. Refunds will not be made in the case of alterations in activities due to weather, early release of a participant, or loss of time for medical behavioral reasons.
