Help us celebrate the DNR’s FREE Fishing Day by learning all about winter fishing! Girls will have the opportunity to explore what an ice fishing camp looks like, practice casting a line, learn about tying flies and setting up a rod and reel.

During this event girls and adults will take place in an active fun learning experience including hands-on learning and games. At least a portion of this event will take place outdoors no matter the weather, please ensure that everyone attending is dressed appropriately including closed-toe shoes.

Cost is $10 per girl and $5 per adult: Event fee includes event activities, supplies and the corresponding mini Outdoor Skills patches (for girls only).

ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING A BROWN BAG LUNCH. No food or drink will be provided.

This is a girl and adult event, challenge by choice but participation by all attendees is highly encouraged.  Troops are responsible for meeting their own safety ratios as outlined in Volunteer Essentials Part 3: Safety.  Space is limited. Individual girls must attend with a participating parent or guardian. No tagalongs can be accommodated.

The registration deadline is one week prior to event.  No full or partial refunds will be issued after this date.
