Patch Program: Intellectual Property at the USPTO
Brooks Kushman, P.C. will be presenting the Intellectual Property patch program on Saturday, April 13th, at the Elijah McCoy Midwest Regional US Patent and Trademark Office. Girls will learn about how inventors create and then protect their inventions with copyrights, patents, and trademarks. The Brownie session will run from 9:00am-11:30am, and the Junior/Cadette session will run from 12:30pm-3:30pm. We ask that girls attend the session appropriate to their age level. Girls may not attend both sessions. All attending adults must register online and bring their photo ID to the event. Adult attendance is capped at one per girl due to space constraints. No tagalongs can be accommodated.
Brooks Kushman, P.C. is a full service Intellectual Property law firm, practicing IP law both domestically and internationally for fortune 500 companies. They are dedicated to increasing awareness about STEM and increasing the pipeline with young girls in the science and technology fields.
