Girl Scouts Engineering Day
CALLING ALL GIRL SCOUTS 4TH - 12TH GRADES!
Join us for a fun-filled day exploring the amazing world of engineering and technology.
Do you want to be an engineer? Do you want to know more about STEM? Do you want to have fun learning about technology and earn a patch? GREAT! This event is just for you! This event is part of our annual Engineers Week Celebration (February 17-23, 2019). Help us inspire girls to explore the vast fields of engineering and technology as a career.
- All hands-on activities and more will be led by our team of women engineers. NOTE: These activities will complete some of the requirements for the Think Like an Engineer badge.
- We'll also show a movie—especially for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors—titled Dream Big: Engineering our World. The movie explores the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world.
- In addition, we'll host a special session for parents to share and discuss the importance of supporting the awesomeness of STEM girls.
Cost: $10/person (includes lunch, snacks, patch, and all the supplies needed for the activities)
Registration deadline: February 15 (or sooner if capacity is reached)
Adult-to-girl ratios must be maintained as outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls attending must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
