You can be anything and do everything with a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)!

You can be anything and do everything with a career in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Girls will have the opportunity to learn about careers in various STEM fields as well as participate in hands on activities at the Engineering Center at Oakland University.  Activities will include making Edison Light Bulbs, VEX IQ robotics, Lego Mindstorms, making slime, and building roller coasters and towers.  Girls will learn about basic engineering concepts while they are working together.  Program will start promptly at 1:00pm.  On site check in will be from 12:45-1:00pm for those already registered for the program.  Patch and snack included. 

Adult to girl ratios must be maintained as outlined in Volunteer Essentials.  Individual girls attending must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Sorry no tagalongs can be accommodated.  Registration deadline is January 6th or sooner if event capacity is reached.  Refunds are available when requested in writing (email is acceptable) before the registration deadline.  Cancellations after the registration deadline are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Full refunds will be issued if a council event or series is cancelled. 

Cost: $10/girl (patch and snack included)
