The strength of the Girl Scout movement rests on the voluntary leadership of our adult members. Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan depends on over 16,000 adult volunteers to share the Girl Scout movement with girls! We are looking for responsible adults, male or female, who are looking to make a difference in a girl’s life.

With your skills and contributions, you can help girls develop the courage, confidence and character they need to succeed in life. By volunteering, you'll acquire new skills, gain professional development experience, have fun, and give back to your community. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities so you can tailor your participation.

No previous Girl Scout experience is necessary! The staff of Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan will support you! We have expertise in assessing, developing, and producing quality activities for girls.

As long as you meet the basic qualifications listed below, you can begin enriching the lives of girls today.

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a flexible attitude and sense of humor
  • Register as an adult member and pay annual membership dues of $12. Dues are paid to the national organization to pay for program research and resources, training and services to councils. No adult financial aid.
  • Complete a volunteer application including background check
  • Believe in and uphold the Girl Scout Promise and Law
  • Be a positive role model for tomorrow’s leaders
