A portion of the money raised goes directly to local troops selling product, which allows troops to finance program goals and activities such as field trips, camp outings, and community service projects. The remainder is used to make Girl Scouting available to every girl in the area who would like to participate. Proceeds also help Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan recruit and train volunteers, maintain campgrounds, and support initiatives such as outreach, science activities, career workshops, and financial assistance
