Oxford Holiday Parade

Come show your troop spirit supporting our local Girl Scouts as we walk in the Oxford Holiday Parade.  Parents and family are all welcomed to walk with us.  Parade lineup starts at 1:00 p.m. near Daniel Axford Elementray School.  Parade starts moving at 2:00 p.m.

You must RSVP with Laura Wilson (contact info is below) if you walk in the parade.

You are encouraged to attend the Float Building Workshop on November 23rd (check Calendar).

Float Building Workshop Oxford

Come show your troop spirit supporting our local Girl Scouts as we work together to help build our parade float.  Girls will ceate a float.  Parents are requested to stay.  No drop off.  No registration is needed to attend, please join us on 11/23 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.:

Gingerbread House Making Oxford

Come join us for a night of making edible gingerbread house that you can take home.  Each person will get a large gingerbread house kit, with lots of decorations and frosting to work with.

 

If you would like to bring a non-perishable item, like a can or box good, we are going to donate them to Oxford FISH.

Jewelry Making Workshop

Participants will get a chance to work with different jewelry tools,
learn about jewelry from other cultures and create a necklace using these
ideas, make a bracelet out of beads made at the event, make a wire
wrapped pennant, and make a friendship bracelet.

Juniors will earn their Jeweler Badge, and others will receive a fun patch.  More details and information to register are at the link below!

American Red Cross certified BABYSITTING COURSE in Monroe

Girl Scout members between the age of 11 and 15 years (Junior, Cadette or Senior) will complete the American Red Cross certified Babysitting Course and receive their certification.

Along with completion of the Babysitting course

JUNIORS – will complete their First Aid legacy badge

CADETTES – will complete their Babysitting skill builder badge

SENIORS – will receive a FUN PATCH

The Innisfree Equestrian Center, located at Camp Innisfree in Howell, Michigan, is home to 30 well mannered and friendly school horses.  Our professional staff introduce girls to horses in a welcoming manner so their time at the EQ Center is safe, fun and effective.  Winter is a great time to sign up for riding program and our Vet Science programs (held in our Farm Barn).  The Indoor Arena at Innisfree gives the girls a dry place to ride inspite of winter conditions, so bundle up and come on out!

Winter is a great time to visit the Innisfree Equestrian Center!  Our professional staff and friendly school horses will be working all winter long!  Plan now to register for the following classes:

  • Giddy Up Try-It (Brownies)
  • Giddy Up Again (Brownies)
  • Western 1 (Juniors and up)
  • Trail Class (Juniors and up)
  • Daisy Girl Scouts, call for availability

Our Farm Barn animals are also available for the Vet Science classes!  We hope to see you soon!
