Monroe/Lenawee AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 through Downtown Monroe.
Community 12 has an online sign up for any Girl Scout member (girl w/adult supervision) to participate in the Labor Day parade with line up at 9 am on Jones Ave - Parade Kick Off at 10 am.
The parade route will be 1.7 miles and ends at St. Mary's Park.
This parade will coincide with the 8th Annual River Raisin Labor Day Bar-B-Que Festival in the streets of historic Downtown Monroe.
Come and enjoy fellowship with the New Prospect Girl Scouts at Northland Roller Rink. Meet and skate with your sister scouts from Community 10 and make a new friendship that can last forever.
An adult or troop leader must accompany their troop (safety ratios must be observed) for this event. New Prospect Girl Scouts are hosting this evening of fun. Come support your fellow scouts. All proceeds will help fund their yearend trip. The council shop will have fun patches available for leaders to purchase for their scouts. This event is limited to 90 tickets.
My Promise / My Faith Day is the presentation of the official My Promise / My Faith Award. The Day is open to girls at all levels of Girl Scouting. A series of experiential stations are planned to allow girls to work on the award requirements, followed by lunch, further activities, and a closing interfaith service. A separate tract will be run for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts Rock! Indiana Joanna goes around the world to see the fun Girl Scouts have everywhere. Learn new games, songs and dances. We'll be earning badges through Journeys as we explore how Girl Scouts do it in other countries! For all levels! Our Program Aides are ready to take you along to other lands and make new friends. Everyone loves a parade! Come be part of this patriotic celebration with a kitten themed flair. Girls are asked to wear their sash or vests with some feline touches. (kitten ears, whiskers and black noses) Wagon floats decorated as kitten climbing posts are needed. Details on how to make the floats and the answers to all your other questions can be found on our flyer. All levels are welcome.There is no fee but we need an idea of how many are coming so please email or call Diane to confirm.
CANCELLED 5/18. Directors note: With the onset of winter, the numerous snow days and the extension of the school year, we were forced to reschedule. The rescheduled week proved to be convenient for many campers but not so for our adult volunteers.
It's your talent, share it! Dreaming of being on stage and dazzling the world? Here is your chance. Girl Scouts of all levels are welcome to join us to share their talents on stage. Girls must register to perform by November 1st, a $20 fee is assessed for all performances. Tickets on sale from 9/1/14 for $5.00 each, a limited number is available!
This is a Troop Money Earning Event; Program Credits cannot be used towards this event.
This is a parade in which Girl Scouts are invited to walk in a parade. Troop must provide enough adults to meet the adult:girl ratio. Individuals must bring an adult to walk with them. Troops are invited to bring their troop banners and wear their uniforms and/or holiday-themed outfits.
