Join Community 10 in celebrating the accomplishments of our amazing Girl Scouts as they participate in a traditional Girl Scout Bridging Ceremony! All age levels are welcome to bring their families and a picnic to enjoy while we celebrate our Girl Scouts and volunteers. Each Bridging Scout will receive a personalized Bridging Certificate. This is a Community event; Community Troop girls may use their Program Credits to participate!

American Red Cross certified Babysitting Course will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 9 am - 3:30 pm

 Girl Scout members between the age of 11 and 15 years (Cadette or Seniors) will complete the American Red Cross certified Babysitting Course and receive their certification.
Along with completion of the Babysitting course
 
CADETTES – will complete their Babysitting skill builder badge
SENIORS – will receive a FUN PATCH

‘Hunger Games’ Theme Lock In at the Romulus Athletic Center

Bridging 5th grade Juniors through 12th grade Ambassadors will participate in a ‘Hunger Games’ theme Lock In at the Romulus Athletic Center, 35765 Northline Rd., Romulus. Hosted by Cadette Troop #70202.

 ‘SINK OR SWIM: May the Odds be Always in Your Swimmer’

Evening begins at 10 pm on Sat. May 3 until 5 am on Sun. May 4, 2014.

Participant fee of $25 (girl or adult) includes 4 hours swimming, rock wall, basketball, screening of the movie HUNGER GAMES.

Catching Fire crafts and games and refreshments.

Be Your Own Hero-Personal Safety Workshop in Shelby Twp.

Girls (ages 11-14) will learn how to avoid being the victim of an attack, as well as protection and escape strategies for if they find themselves in danger. Police officers and personal safety professionals will share potentionally life saving tips and techniques. We will also talk about internet safety, and teach them how to be safe in cyber space. Participants will create ID cards with photos and fingerprinting, and more. This is a Silver Award Project, see attached flyer for more information.

 

Community Camp: Welcome to the Boardwalk, 4/25-27/14 in Columbus

Fri, April 25, 2014 (All day) to Sun, April 27, 2014 (All day)

Come join us as we experience science, sand art, outdoor games and some pure camp fun! Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies and Juniors will have scheduled sessions. Cadettes and older will choose self-directed actvities, sessions of choice, or work with the girl leadership team for a taste of camp leadership.
