Girl Scout Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors are invited to attend Sunday service and meet some of the most groundbreaking women of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries; and learn how these women lived the Girl Scout Law! Monroe/Lenawee AFL-CIO Labor Day Parade will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 through Downtown Monroe.
Community 12 has an online sign up for any Girl Scout member (girl w/adult supervision) to participate in the Labor Day parade with line up at 9 am on Jones Ave - Parade Kick Off at 10 am.
The parade route will be 1.7 miles and ends at St. Mary's Park.
This parade will coincide with the 8th Annual River Raisin Labor Day Bar-B-Que Festival in the streets of historic Downtown Monroe.
Come and enjoy fellowship with the New Prospect Girl Scouts at Northland Roller Rink. Meet and skate with your sister scouts from Community 10 and make a new friendship that can last forever.
An adult or troop leader must accompany their troop (safety ratios must be observed) for this event. New Prospect Girl Scouts are hosting this evening of fun. Come support your fellow scouts. All proceeds will help fund their yearend trip. The council shop will have fun patches available for leaders to purchase for their scouts. This event is limited to 90 tickets.
SOLD OUT: Kettering University will be hosting its third annual Girl Scout STEM Day Camp for Brownies (Senses Badge-Sold Out 8/5/14), Juniors (Detective Badge SOLD OUT 8/2/14) and Cadettes (Special Agent Badge-SOLD OUT 8/1/14). Come join the women of Kettering University to experience the excitement of STEM through a day filled with building, designing, and experiments! Brownie Girl Scouts are invited to earn and receive their My Best Self badge. This interactive program will give girls an opportunity to learn all about what their bodies need, and how to ask for health help when needed. Activities include make-and-take crafts, games, & meeting a healthcare professional. Participants will need to bring a sack lunch. All other materials and a light snack will be provided. My Promise / My Faith Day is the presentation of the official My Promise / My Faith Award. The Day is open to girls at all levels of Girl Scouting. A series of experiential stations are planned to allow girls to work on the award requirements, followed by lunch, further activities, and a closing interfaith service. A separate tract will be run for Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts.
Girl Scouts Rock! Indiana Joanna goes around the world to see the fun Girl Scouts have everywhere. Learn new games, songs and dances. We'll be earning badges through Journeys as we explore how Girl Scouts do it in other countries! For all levels! Our Program Aides are ready to take you along to other lands and make new friends.
