Fair Play

Brownies Earn your Fair Play Badge with members of the Wayne State Women’s Volleyball team.Playing Fair means that everyone has the same chance to play, because everyone follows the same rules. That’s what earning the Brownie Fair Play Badge is all about. Learn the rules for playing volleyball and then try out your new skills on the court! When the badge workshop portion is completed, then stay and watch the Women’s Volleyball team play against Northwood University. Fair Play Badge is included. Adult supervision is required at this event.

Silver Award Training

ADULT Scrapbooking and Craft Day

Troop 88001 is offering an Adult Scrapbooking and Craft Event. Parents, leaders, friends looking to preserve those happy summer memories---come and scrapbook and you will also be helping the girls of Troop 88001 travel to Europe in 2015!!!

 

It will take place at Bethany Baptist Church, 1375 Hiller Road in Waterford from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on September 14th. This is an adult only event which includes lunch.

 

Gold Award Training

Gold Award Training for girls in 9-12th grade and adults working with them. This workshop is highly recommended to attend. You will explore the steps to earning this prestigious award while learning the difference between Take Action and community service. The workshop is presented by experienced members of the Gold Award committee. The Girl Scout Gold Award is a leadership adventure and the highest honor a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador can achieve.

Women's Health

Cadette, Senior and Ambassadors learn more about Women's Health. Girl Scout Seniors will earn Steps 1-4 of the Women's Health badge through a partnership with Karmanos' Cancer Institute.  Nothing's more important than good health-and, as women, we have unique health issues at every stage of our lives.  A Women & Cancer presentation will cover:  What is cancer?, it's causes and risk factors and how to reduce those risks.  Adult supervision is required at this event.  All adult/girl ratios must be maintained as outlined in Safety Wise.

Back by popular demand Chemistry Day 2013! Girl’s grade 4-5 will earn their National Chemistry Week patch (included) while participating in a community service project. Discover the world of chemistry with hands-on-experiments; meet chemists in different fields and more. Light snack and pizza lunch included. Sponsored in partnership with the American Chemical Society. Registration deadline is October 24, 2013 or sooner if event fills.
