We walk in the parade. We meet at 5:30 p.m. to line up and the girls are released to parents at the end of the route. We will use the Girl Scout Gift Banner and dress as presents with donated wrapping paper and boxes.
The girls walk in the parade dressed as gift packages. Troops are responsible for the adult/girl ratio and for the girls in their troop/group. They meet at Century 21 about 4:45 p.m. and walk less than a mile as a group. Siblings are welcome. The children must have adult supervision.
I am moving our meeting date from the 19th to the 21st as the cookie trainings begin next week, and one is on Tuesday. Thursday is free from girl scout activities on the calendar. The call will take place from 7-8. I hope you can attend.
Come show your troop spirit supporting our local Girl Scouts as we walk in the Oxford Holiday Parade. Parents and family are all welcomed to walk with us. Parade lineup starts at 1:00 p.m. near Daniel Axford Elementray School. Parade starts moving at 2:00 p.m.
You must RSVP with Laura Wilson (contact info is below) if you walk in the parade.
You are encouraged to attend the Float Building Workshop on November 23rd (check Calendar).
Participants will get a chance to work with different jewelry tools,
learn about jewelry from other cultures and create a necklace using these
ideas, make a bracelet out of beads made at the event, make a wire
wrapped pennant, and make a friendship bracelet.
Juniors will earn their Jeweler Badge, and others will receive a fun patch. More details and information to register are at the link below!
