In the morning groggy eyed campers headed to Handi Hall for breakfast, which would be followed by a warm welcome from Moxie’s partner CEO’s from Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and the Women Officials Network.
The very first lecture of the program came from Dessa Cosma-King. As a handicapped individual, Dessa knew all about overcoming obstacles and persevering to pursue her passion of advocating social reform. This today includes her work of training potential leaders with the Center for Progressive Leadership. Her moving background and engaging personality encouraged girls to initiate the steps to discover their own passions.
