Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) announced that it received a grant from the Consumers Energy Foundation. The grant of $10,000.00 supports the installation of an audio-conferencing system at the new GSSEM Flint Service Center, located in downtown Flint.

The Flint Service center is the hub of Girl Scouting in Genesee County and surrounding areas. “We are always working to improve service to our girls and adult volunteers,” said Denise Dalrymple, CEO of GSSEM. “This technology will  allow our members access trainings and meetings remotely, and staff and volunteers who work at the service center will have increased capability to connect with Girl Scouts all over our service area.”

Dalrymple said the grant will help GSSEM to further Girl Scouts’ mission by giving volunteers and staff greater access to information and resources. GSSEM serves nearly 3,000 girl and adult members in the Flint area.
