Members of GSSEM Troop 30307 took action to help restore Mackinac Island's Statue of Liberty Replica. The statue has stood on Mackinac Island since 1950.

Over the years it had fallen into disrepair. The restoration project, which included fixing cracks in the bronze statue, repairing its crown, and building a new base started in 2012, and was completed in summer 2013.  A dedication ceremony is planned for 2014.

Troop 30307 donated $100.00 to the project, and visited with the artist working on the restoration project at Venus Bronze Works in Detroit.
