The Girl Scout Cookie Sale may be a few months away, but a few eager Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts are already preparing to roll in the dough! On Saturday, October 19, 2013, more than 50 girls packed the Central United Methodist Church in Waterford for the first Girl Scout Cookie Rally of the year. During the event, girls brushed up on the five essential skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. They rotated through four activity stations, "designed to help girls complete a project and learn a skill which will help them with their Cookie sales," said Karen Gaabo - Community Specialist.

At one station the scouts discovered the different roles in the cookie business including marketing, communications, inventory control, accounting, and customer service. Another station featured a cookie tasting where girls sampled their scrumptious product. Upon completion of the activities the scouts earned the Daisy Talk it Up leaf, the Brownie Meet My Customer Badge, or the Junior Cookie CEO Badge.
