Thinking Day is an event where girls participate in variety of ways to honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts in other countries. World Thinking Day offers Girl Scouts an opportunity to learn more about the world around them. This can count as badge work for a troop as well.
Families and friends of the Girl Scouts are encouraged to join us for the Thinking Day event. Each participant will to purchase a ticket or passport for admission. Scouts and children under 12 years of age will receive a Passport, Adults will receive a ticket. Advance pricing for the event is $3.00 per person or $10.00 for a family of four. Tickets will be sold the evening of the event $5.00 per person and $15.00 for a family of four or more (before 2/1). Prices are higher at the event due to the line that forms to purchase tickets. Therefore it is strongly encouraged that tickets are purchased in advance. Advance Tickets will be available for sale thru February 1st. (January 1- February 1).
Participating Troops (with country tables, etc) arrive at 6:00pm to set up and have guidelines to follow (checkout the HUB, C06 Activity or contact the chairperson to see the entire packet of how to be a participating troop).
Visiting Troops/Girls: Since troops hosting tables incur added expense for the food, display and SWAPs, the visiting troop price will be $7.00 per person. A Visiting Troop/Girl is not expected to host a table but rather each girl would receive a passport and enjoy visiting each country at their leisure (if you come as an individual, be sure to register an adult with you). Girls will receive a participation patch as well. Visiting troops/girls are strongly encouraged to make a set amount of SWAPs for girls to exchange with others troops. Troops/girls interested in purchasing visiting tickets should contact the Thinking Day Chairperson listed below.
