Girl Scouts meet up as a community to celebrate Girl Scouting and march in a parade with their community. Girls can create a theme for their troop to dress up (no Santa costumes allowed in the parade-Mt. Clemens will have a Santa at the end of the parade) and/or make a float (please contact Jenne if you are making a float, floats must arrive much earlier than groups walking in the parade). Girls can bring something to pass out (e.g. candy) if they are walking in the parade. Be sure to check the Safety Activity Checkpoint for Parades on the gssem.org website (pages 143-144). The parade starts at 10:00 a.m.
Each troop/girl must provide their own adult/girl ratio. Troop leader/co-leaders must attend. If you want to come without your troop, you must bring a parent with you.
Contact Jenne343@yahoo.com to register for this event. She will need the number of girls, number of adults, troop number, school, and whether you are making a float or not. The November 15th registration deadline is for troops making a float. Let Jennie know by 11/28 if you do not have a float.
