Samba - A street festival dance that originated in Brazil, the Samba was introduced to the United States in the late 1920s in a Broadway play called “Street Carnival.”

 Mambo - Introduced by band leader Anselmo Sacaras in 1944, the Mambo – a merger of Swing and Rumba – didn’t really catch on until the 1950s, but remains very popular today.

Animal Bash

This is a Costume Event! Girls and adults should come dressed as their favorite animal.  Spend the morning looking through an animal’s eyes.  Girl(s) will attend this event individually or in troops /groups of 10 to 15 at each station.   Stations will involve a lesson, live animal demonstration, craft or game that teaches the Girl about Domestic and Endangered animals.  Girls will learn the importance of conservation, habitat survival, ecological impact and proactive research to save endangered animals around the world.  A

The Greater Davison Area Toastmasters are presenting this EIGHT week series for FREE (you must still register) where girls will build communication and leadership skills.  Girls must commit to attending every session of the Toastmaster's Youth Leadership Program series.  The series dates are Thursdays from 5-6pm on October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and November 7th, 14th, 21st, and December 5th.  Completing this series will fulfill the activity requirements for the Public Speaker badge.

 

 

Girl Scout Evening at the Local Corn Maze

GIRL SCOUTS has reserved a SPECIAL PRIVATE PARTY experience for local Girl Scout troops, families and friends at J. Webb Farm is a seven-generation, centennial family grain and livestock farm.

  • Corn mazes, scenic hayrides, and evening bonfires, farm animals are out for display for everyone to enjoy and learn about.
  • Fall produce including many varieties of indian corn, gourds, squash and pumpkins of all shapes, sizes and colors, are grown right on the farm

Girl Scout Halloween Roller Skating

Come help stock our local community food pantry for St. Mary's Church in New Baltimore!  Dress up in your Halloween costume and join us for a fun afternoon!  Junior Troop 30036 will be at the registration table helping collect advance paid tickets, selling tickets at the door and collecting the donation items!

Gold Award Training
