Volunteer Orientation

This 3-hour, in-person course is a comprehensive orientation to the Girl Scout Leadership Experience and covers information that is vital for Troop and Program Volunteers.  Topics include: GSSEM resources about Program, Money &  Safety, the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting and Leadership Journeys.  Troop and Program Volunteers are required to take this course online, in-person or in both formats.

Brownie Core Camp

Brownie Core Camp is a special weekend event for Brownie Girls and adults to spend the weekend at Camp Hawthorn Hollow in Columbus Twp., Michigan.  For only $73 per person participants will enjoy two nights of modern lodging, a Friday night snack, 3 meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast served in our dining hall.  The girls will earn their Girl Scout Ways badge with a twist of camp!  Plenty of outdoor cooking, outdoor hikes, outdoor games, and camp traditions will be enjoyed by girls and adults.  Please bring 50-100 SWAPS for our Swapping Ceremony.  Registrations

Daisy Core Camp

Daisy Core Camp is a special one-night camping event for Daisy Girls and adults to make memories and new friends at Camp Hawthorn Hollow in Columbus Twp., Michigan.  For only $38 per person participants will enjoy modern lodging, a Saturday night snack and 2 meals on Sunday served in our dining hall.  During this event girls will earn their Camp Ways badge.  Girls will also participate in camp traditions such as ceremonies, songs, games, and outdoor fun (weather permitting).  Registrations will be accepted from troops (in a 1:1 adult to girl ratio) and adult/gi

Junior Core Camp

Junior Core Camp is a special weekend for Junior Girls to spend the weekend at Camp Hawthorn Hollow in Columbus Twp., Michigan.  For only $73 per person participants will enjoy two nights of modern lodging, a Friday night snack, 3 meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast served in our dining hall.  The girls will earn their Detective badge and follow clues to solve a real mystery!  This badge supports the "It's Your Planet - Love It!"  Get Moving Junior Journey book is not needed to attend this program.  Girls will also participate in camp traditions such as ceremoni

V.I.T. Volunteer In Training

This award is for girls who’d like to mentor a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior, or Cadette group outside of the camp experience. If you’ve completed ninth grade, you’re eligible to earn this award.Your VIT project should span a three-to-six-month period.
1. Find a mentor volunteer who is currently the adult volunteer for a group of girls at the level you’d like to work with. This volunteer will help you through your training and internship, and you’ll help the volunteer with her group of girls for the three-to-six-month period.

Fair Play

Brownies Earn your Fair Play Badge with members of the Wayne State Women’s Volleyball team.Playing Fair means that everyone has the same chance to play, because everyone follows the same rules. That’s what earning the Brownie Fair Play Badge is all about. Learn the rules for playing volleyball and then try out your new skills on the court! When the badge workshop portion is completed, then stay and watch the Women’s Volleyball team play against Northwood University. Fair Play Badge is included. Adult supervision is required at this event.

Silver Award Training

Silver Award Training for girls in 6-8th grade and adults working with them. Attendances at these workshops are highly encouraged and are provided by experienced, knowledgeable mentors. Make sure you are on the right track register today! The Girl Scout Silver Award is a leadership adventure and the highest honor a Girl Scout Cadette can achieve. Have you ever looked around your neighborhood or school and wondered how you could make a change for the better?

Gold Award Training

Gold Award Training for girls in 9-12th grade and adults working with them. This workshop is highly recommended to attend. You will explore the steps to earning this prestigious award while learning the difference between Take Action and community service. The workshop is presented by experienced members of the Gold Award committee. The Girl Scout Gold Award is a leadership adventure and the highest honor a Girl Scout Senior or Ambassador can achieve.
